New Zealand readiness map · preview

Where electric aviation already touches the ground, and the routes it could serve first.

A free preview of the Atlas base layer: the aerodromes used or usable by electric aircraft today, the three trial charger sites, the Tāwhaki test site, and a dozen candidate routes with straight-line distances and an indicative electricity cost per sector scaled from Air New Zealand's reported NZ$20 for Wellington to Blenheim. The full Atlas layer set (airspace, obstacles, zoning, population, hospitals, climate, grid) is available to pilot participants.

*Indicative electricity cost per sector, scaled linearly from Air New Zealand's reported NZ$20 for Wellington to Blenheim. Energy is a small share of trip cost; see the route-economics note.

Preview, not a plan. Positions are approximate aerodrome reference points for orientation only, distances are straight-line, and routes marked illustrative are examples of route classes, not proposals. Nothing here is for navigation or for siting decisions; Atlas uses the LINZ aerodrome layer, Airways AIP airspace and published obstacle data for that.
